HI. I'M STACIE THOMPSON.
Creative.
Founder.
Advisor

I believe we should all be lucky enough to do something that we love for a living. Something that brings out the best version of us and makes us feel alive.
For me, that's creating.
It started simply. Creating brand environments.
Which led to creating brand experiences, marketing concepts and brand strategies.
Then I moved to creating teams to help create all of the above. And creating environments for those teams and an agency built around allowing the people in the teams to be the best version of themselves.
Now I help create strategies for existing brands to stand out in the market or carve out a space for them in a crowded market place.
And I'm in the process of creating the ultimate tool to help people everywhere be more successful at home so they can go be the best doing whatever they choose to do.

At the start of it
Startups are something that always fascinated me.
I would hear about people working a startup and my heart would skip a beat and I wonder how I could find a way to work at such a magical place where anything was possible.
I never DREAMED of starting one myself (disclaimer—I'm not a sole-founder, I have 2-1/2 amazing co-founders I work with every day). And yet, here I am: co-founder of Ovie—a tech-startup that's working to make success in the kitchen a reality through really really simple changes in behavior.
Some things just have to exist
We patented technology around SmartTagging— a concept and behavior that doesn't exist, but should. And we're super close to having them in market (looking at you, Q1 23)
SmartTags are little trackers designed to help you keep tabs on the things you struggle to keep track of in the fridge... or pantry... or freezer.
We're making it because we need it.
My mind is simply incapable of keeping track of my refrigerator—especially with an involved husband, sitters, family and friends who are constantly in and out of my refrigerator.
How can anyone remember which mac 'n' cheese is still good? Or what day you opened the yogurt? Was the deli meat opened this week or last? Is my mom going to eat something that's going to make her sick? Which bottle of breastmilk should I use next? Or freeze?
CREATING FOR A MORE SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

More sustainable for you. And for me.
At the heart of it, it's a daily problem that we all encounter. Every single time we open the fridge, our brains are cataloging what's in there so we can be good stewards of what we bought. Mine isn't super successful at that, which continually frustrates me.
Beyond the weekly feelings of failure, what I didn't realize is how much food gets wasted every year across the world ($$$ per family and millions of tons in the US alone)—a huge environmental problem.
At the heart of it, this is a solution that needs to exist. It will help all of us manage our foods better—and on our own terms (because let's face it, one size doesn't fit all). And it will help save us money. And brainspace. And room in the landfills. And if you ask some of the people we've talked to-- it may even save some arguments marriages too 🙃.
